the calendar says it is nearly July, but you'd never know it by looking outside. it's been raining all day. in june. in California. I wish I could say that it is a welcome break from the heat, but we just haven't had enough of it to be tired of it yet. rain, on the other hand....

This morning e. and I picked berries (marion, black and boysen). It was prickly and hot and we came home with stained fingers and little green boxes filled with fresh berries. We made a pie. It feels like summer.
